There are a lot of articles on this 123 agreement, its pros and cons and ifs and buts and then and there’s and whys and why not’s. But one thing is clear - I don’t understand ABC of it. The discussions are too technical for me to have a clue on what is happening. My only wish – Government doesn’t consider it as an affront on its ego to study what its critics are saying. After all, most of the critics are no-nonsense guys who have extreme knowledge on the subject. They have been with the industry for decades, highly contributing to its growth. Let it handle it professionally and in an unbiased manner. After all, nuclear energy is expected to contribute much lesser than the other sources.

Well 123 is nothing but the article no 123 of the nuclear deal signed/would be signed by Inda and US.The deal is also called by the name of "Hyde Act".The article 123,to put very simplistically,abrogates the rights of India to test any more nuckler bomb.If India test any nuclear bomb after signing this Indo-Us nuclear deal/Hyde pact...the deal would stand cancelled.
All the hulabao over this issue is raised by CPI.They give a pseduo logic of losing sovergnity.According to them,its like losing India's right to test.
I believe,its a need less argument.CPI is simply acting like psycho.Anything with USA isanethma to them.China can have nuclear dela with Pakistan and Iran and others.There they wont speak a single word of protest.But India going with USA is scourge!
Anyway,one nuclear bomb is enough dettrent for a country.Testing 1000 is simply waste!And technology is so advanced these days that they no longer test physically.They test it on super computers!Also when India has said earlier that It has no need and intention to test any more bombs,so why this hue and cry??
Only for logical extension of an non required right??A right which we are never going to excersie!And if required,in national interest..will India stop from excersing it..just because the suppy of nuclear material will be stopped by USA..never..so all this is CPIM...rantings....a spanner in the whell approach..they ahve been opposing any and every policy of national interest...even before Idia got its freedom!!
